ORMOC, LEYTE – The DSWD Ormoc Satellite Office announced that the distribution of educational assistance for ‘students-in-crisis’ would begin this Saturday, September 3, 2022
However, the office clarified that only those who have received a confirmation text or email from the DSWD will be accepted and they will not entertain walk-ins.
The said distribution will be done at the Covered Court in Brgy. Doña Feliza Mejia, Ormoc City at eight o’clock in the morning.
According to Raquel Moralde’s statement, they will accommodate the students in the 4th district in Leyte (Albuera, Ormoc, Kananga, Matag-ob, Palompon, Isabel, and Merida).
Moreover, after receiving confirmation, students are encouraged to bring the requested documents, proof that the student is enrolled, to the payout venue.
The DSWD Ormoc Satellite Office states that if a student is unable to claim, they may seek assistance from others.
The proxy must present written authorization from the student, ID or proof of enrollment, and the ID of the person designated to make a claim.
The payout will continue on September 10, 17, and 24, but it depends on whether there will be a change in procedures at the DSWD Regional Office in Eastern Visayas.
